The crown has fallen. The queen lipstick was for a long time Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick. Actually, it's pretty surprising that I'm so picky with crowning the best lipstick from our drugstores. The more I test, the more standards I acquire. I'm ruthless with lipstick - it has to have ALL! I'm proud to present you my new favourite drugstore lipstick - new Artdeco High Performance Lipstick. That sexy cashmere texture instantly caught my attention as I saw something familiar in it. Check! The texture is actually identical to highly expensive Pat McGrath that I had to order from US. Soft matte formula is super comfy and gives an illusion of bigger lips. Compared to Artdeco, there's only one difference. The price. At 13,95€ a piece I can't really complain. Plus you can skip all the hassle when ordering online.

Spain is like a meet point of all makeup around the world - from highly concentrated Sephora on every corner, to UK and European drugstores, up to Korean variety of Tony Moly. Sticking to Sephora, I've been excited to finally pick additional Too Faced pieces. I could say it's one of my favourite brands but it's a pain in the ass buying it online or finding their counter in Europe. Also, Kat Von D is exclusively sold in Sephora so I won't even lose words on that. 

Artdeco Summer Lipsticks - Hello Sunshine Long-wear Lip Color

Who's ready for bright summer lipsticks? I know, I am. Artdeco Hello Sunshine collection just screams after sun, sea and sand. There's no better announcement of summer than beautiful bronzers, cheerful blush bronzer duo and a handful of bright lipsticks. Indeed, all new shades from Long-wear Lip Colour line are fabulous at describing summer vibes. A bronzey sand-nude for smokey eye at evening, a bright pastel orange for sipping cocktails in the afternoon and a bright coral rose for uplifting your tanned skin.

Rose Gold in Makeup

Everything started with Urban Decay Naked 3 and I can't wrap my mind around the fact, that I actually forgot to include the main star into this rose gold post. Oh, well. Continuing with rose gold mania, here are some pretty and new pieces on our beauty market. From high-end and down to low-end, I'm sure you won't have any problems hunting down your favourite rose gold piece. In fact, limited collections from various brands are currently on fire with rose gold theme. Just be sure to look them up more closely, you might mistake them for plain old, gold packaging.

Clarins Ombre Iridescente (about 22€ for 7g, Clarins counters) is a fairly new, spring addition to the superb Clarins makeup line. In fact, they might turn out to be permanent as they're a shimmery version of their classic Ombre Matte Eyeshadow line. I already made an essay on the formula here as it's a perfect hybrid between cream and powder eyeshadow. It melts like butter under your fingers and applies highly intense. In terms of seconds, I've totally fallen in love with Ombre Iridescente in 05 Silver Pink. It's the classiest rose-gold type of colour you can ever imagine. Not too rose, just a golden hint and still utterly natural. A perfect pink brown with taupe and silver-gold hue. A must in your spring eyeshadow wardrobe!

Staying in the same lines of eyeshadow, Maybelline Colour Tattoo (around 6€, Maybelline stands) in 65 Pink Gold is another pocket friendly rose gold. It's a more heavily pink-based cream shadow, which transfers rather highly shimmery with a strong silver sheen. It's perfect for bringing out that pink in your rather brown shadows or adding pink highlight to the center of your lid. It's not the best waterproof formula on earth, but it's slightly more creamy on the touch than the first Colour Tattoo batch.

Maybelline mascara and I don't go together. I usually find their formula too light or rather too watery to properly enhance my already blonde lashes. However, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (around 9€, Maybelline stands) might be the highlight I always wanted. Formula is surprisingly good, not too liquid-y but still manageable to make magic. Plastic wand is surprisingly easy to use due to the curved shape and fits perfectly to my eye shape. Not bad at all but still not a staple.

I just had to have one single Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick (30€ on Charlotte Tilbury). Although price and shipping fees are painfully close to any YSL or high-end lipstick, it's worth the splurge. Packaging is just out of this world, with heavy rose gold tube and well considered detailing. My personal favourite shade is Very Victoria, a rather neutral nude brown with cool and warm tones. Still in the family of more defined nudes but slightly more toned down. Nothing like it in my lipstick collection. Formula is pretty light and weightless on the lips. It's not fully opaque but rather semi-opaque for natural look and layering.

Artdeco Glam Stars Lip Gloss (8,37-11,95€, Artdeco counters & online) doesn't have typical rose gold packaging but the product itself is quite unique in terms of colour. 31 Glam Frozen Orchid from Arctic Beauty LE is a perfect example of rose pink with golden shift. It has light-medium opacity and can add dimension to any kind of lipstick. Texture is comfortable, easy to apply and pleasant in scent. Artdeco is the right address for unique shades of lipgloss and lipstick. I'm wearing 31 in my previous post here and it's currently on Artdeco sale. 

What's my favourite highlighter you may ask? Along with my newly purchased Dior Glowing Pink, it's also Topshop Highlighter Crescent Moon (13,20€ in Topshop & online). This is the most stunning product ever. The shifting effect is just wild and the colour intensity is insane. It may look like a pure champagne at first but it applies as a perfect light champagne with pink shift. Camera doesn't do it justice. Unfortunately, Topshop is not consistent with their makeup line, so they usually change up products and shades within season. You might just catch Crescent Moon in their shops, online or another season. Still, newly added Horizon (look here) looks like a killer dope tan rose-gold. Highly recommend Topshop highlighters! Thank god Topshop is available worldwide on Feelunique.

Melvita Nectar de Miels (Melvita counters in Muller,Nama, Maxi & online) could easily won in the category of ''Best looking Packaging'' with Ecocert certification. Nectar de Miels actually replaced old favourite Apicosma line, that was based on pure honey for extra dry skin. Indeed, Nectar de Miels came out with gorgeous rose-gold honey comb design but the formula got improved as well. The main star of the new body collection is organic thyme honey, which restores, nourishes and improves skin texture. 3 types of organic honey will intensely nourish any kind of dry or sensitive skin. I have to say, that the texture is well improved compared to old Melvita textures. They sink into the skin quickly and don't leave any unpleasant sticky residue. Scent is quite unique due to thyme honey as it's pretty herbal, sweet but also earthy. Big like on combining pleasant texture, scent and lovely organic ingredients list. I've tried Comforting Creamy Milk (19,90€ for 200ml) and Comforting Hand Cream (13,70€ for 75ml).

To conclude everything with a touch of perfume, Lancome could be the right pick for that rose gold touch. Lancome La Vie est Belle (around 57-60€ for 30ml, Lancome counters and luxury beauty shops) with Julia Roberts as the front star, combines  top notes of black currant and pear, while slowly settling into middle notes of iris, jasmine and orange blossom. The depth is created by patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla and praline. Scent is pretty long lasting and heavy, opening with fruit notes but slowly transferring into more deep notes. I can easily detect patchouli and iris, while tonka and praline is not that obvious on my skin pH. It's classy and sophisticated floral scent with a sweeter, deepened twist.

Their collaboration is not a new thing as they were gathering ideas in the past. This time, Artdeco went all out with floral print, navy sailor lines and high intensity colours. This romantic yet bold collection of makeup is truly inspirational to try out different, ''out of the box'' looks. Fashion and beauty truly go hand in hand. What better way to announce upcoming spring...

Artdeco je v sodelovanju z Talbot Runhof, ki je že skoraj tradicionalno, zacvetel v vsej veličini pomladnih barv. Talbot Runhof je namreč uspešen butik dveh oblikovalcev, ki sta vedno v koraku s trendi. Sveže cvetje, mornarske črte in barve modnih trendov so ujete v prikupno in zelo barvito zbirko ličil Beauty Meets Fashion. Hkrati drzna a romantična interpretacija, nakazuje da se moda in lepota resnično lepo ujameta v paru. Ali je sploh še kako bolje naznaniti pomlad kot s pisanim šopkom cvetja?

I've never really had any experiences with Artdeco mascaras, but there is something special about this particular Volume Supreme Mascara (13,95€). I've heard many praises beforehand and my expectations were high. Silicone mascara wand is actually perfect for getting those perfect, combed through lashes with fair lengthening. It gives a bit of volume and a lot of length while lashes look sophisticated without any clumps. Formula is lovely, not too liquidy yet it holds the curl. I generally hate extra liquidy formula like Maybelline's. Also, I don't feel you need any extra help from lash curler, the mascara is actually that good. Along with separate false eyelashes, I've also used this mascara in my spring look. Love at first try! I might convert into Artdeco mascara fan after all.

Pred preizkušnjo Volume Supreme Maskare (13,95€, Muller & na spletu) še nikoli nisem imela izkušenj z Artdeco maskarami. Slišala sem že kar nekaj pohval iz različnih smeri, vendar sem nekako vedno pozabila konkretno raziskati to področje. Bila sem zadovoljna z mojo redno izbiro, vendar me je nova Volume Supreme Maskara navdušila s prvim poizkusom. Trepalnice dobro poudari (čimbolj opazne, tem boljše), vendar jih kljub temu ne zlepi po nekaj nanosih. Silikonska krtačka trepalnice lepo loči, poda volumen in jih opazno podaljša brez dodatnega truda. Krtačka je univerzalna in bo všeč večjemu delu publike, saj je dobra srednja mera velikosti in tudi oblike. Formula je ravno pravšnja, ne pre-tekoča ne pre-gosta. Sovražim zelo tekoče formule, ki se ponavadi ne obdržijo dobro na mojih svetlih in dokaj kratkih trepalnicah. Prav tako maskara dobro obdrži dvig trepalnic sama po sebi. Težko sem navdušena nad novo maskaro takoj po odprtju, vendar me je tale prepričala s prvim nanosom. Mogoče pa se od danes naprej držim le Artdeco maskar...

Mineral Eye Styler (8,95€) is already a staple on Artdeco shelves, new is only colour in 90 Mineral Navy Blue. It's a blackened creamy shade with subtle navy blue sheen. It's waterproof and longlasting, perfect for adding a bit of depth to your inner eye area or smudged liner flick. Due to creamy formula, you can also use it as a base for all navy eyeshadows. It's opaque and buildable.

Mineral Eye Styler svinčnik za oči (8,95€, Muller & na spletu) je že dejansko nekaj časa na Artdeco policah, vendar se je skupini pridružil nov odtenek 09 Mineral Navy Blue. Svinčnik je baziran na črni barvi in ima dokaj subtilen mornarsko moder pridih. Kremna formula je popolna za vse, tako za ''zadimljen videz'' kot tudi nadomestek tekočega črtala. Kremna tekstura se lahko uporabi tudi kot baza za senčila. Obenem pa se črtalo posuši v dokaj vodoodporno formulo, ki jo lahko odstranimo le z oljnim čistilcem. Črtalo je dobro pigmentirano in se zlahka sloji.

Eyeshadows (dose 10,95€, each eyeshadow 4,95€) from Artdeco are always superb. From buttery smooth texture, longevity and crazy pigmentation. Six new shades were added to the massive palette of colours. All in all, they are all pretty pigmented but some of them are slightly crumbly (pink and navy blue). But let's take a look at each of them in detail.

36A Golden Almond is yellowish champagne with golden shimmer. It's not fully opaque but rather sheer wash of gold. I've used it in my look as a brow bone and inner eye highlighter. Could be easily used as cheek highlighter too. 120 Pink Bloom is standard pink with blue shimmer or shift. It's not the most pigmented colour out of the bunch but used with damp brush, I've incorporated pink on my lower lash line. 135 Skipper's Love is a pure matte red. Red eyeshadow is pretty difficult to use but paired with other brights, you can avoid looking sick or tired. I don't recommend using it with black eyeshadow as it can look outdated or devil-ish. I used it as a main colour all over my lid. 252 Lemon Flicker is a unique blend of lemongrass green and gold shimmer. It can be easily paired with neutral or as a refreshing grasshopper green. Perfect for the inner eye area or as a shifting colour through entire lid. 270 Navy Blue is a satin darkened blue, perfect as an liner or smokey base. Pigmentation could be better but eyeshadow base can bring out full intensity. 515 Mat Stony Shore is a perfect matte pigeon grey. It's just enough warm to be paired with neutrals yet I love to use it on my brows. Also, works well as a cheek contour shade on my lower look.

Artdeco Senčila za oči (dozica 10,95€ in posamezno senčilo 4,95€, Muller & na spletu) so po kvaliteti vedno popolna. Že nekaj let sem zvesta uporabnica njihovih enojnih senčil, saj so mehka kot maslo, imajo odlično pigmentacijo in so dolgo obstojna. Šest novih odtenkov preseneča z drznostjo palete barv in vsekakor vabijo izven okvirjev. Na splošno so vsi odtenki dobro pigmentirani, moti me le drobljivost pri roza in modrem odtenku. Ampak oglejmo si raje podrobno vsak odtenek.

36A Golden Almond je rumenkasto bež z zlatim odsevom. Odtenek ni popolnoma prekriven, zato se ga lahko sloji čez ostale barve ali se uporabi kot osvetljevalec kotičkov očes ali lic. 120 Pink Bloom je standardna roza s šimrastim odsevom modre. Malce drobljiva tekstura in slabša pigmentacija sicer ni tako velika ovira, saj se lepo nanaša na malce mokrem čopiču. 135 Skipper's Love je čista mat rdeča. Rdeča je zelo težka za uporabo, saj lahko oči hitro izgledajo vnete ali utrujene. Mogoče se izognite kombinacije rdeča-črna, saj lahko oči hitro izgledajo ''zlobno'' in raje posezite po kombinaciji svetlejših odtenkov. 252 Lemon Flicker je nadvse nenavadna mešanica limonsko zelene in zlatih svetlečih delcev. Lepo osvetli notranje kotičke oči, doda pa tudi nekaj dimenzije na vekah. 270 Navy Blue je dokaj potemnjena mornarsko modra, ki se lahko uporabi za ''smokey eyes'' ali doda obrobo namesto tekočega črtala. Pigmentacija sicer ni najboljša, vendar se v kombinaciji s svinčnikom ali bazo lahko doseže popolna prekrivnost. 515 Mat Stony Shore je idealna golobje mat siva, popolna v kombinaciji ostalih nevtralnih odtenkov. Jaz jo uporabljam tudi za obrvi, saj ima ravno pravšnjo dozo toplega in hladnega tona.

This collection definitely got me out of my comfort zone. Bold colours that usually don't get much attention on daily basis are truly a surprise. Nevertheless, Beauty Meets Fashion Talbot Runhof clearly has some hidden gems after initial frightening effect. Looking for that perfect red eyeshadow? 135 Skipper's Love is the answer. Colours like 36A Golden Almond and 252 Lemon Flicker give a bit of dimension to your neutral look with golden specks. While pigeon grey 515 Mat Stoney Shore is perfect for all blondes - multitasker for brows, contouring and neutral eyelooks. Volume Supreme Mascara is my personal gem from this line - it lengthens, gives volume and defines lashes without a problem. Priznam, kolekcija me je potisnila izven mojih udobnih okvirjev. Drzne barve so velikokrat pozabljene v predalih, ker enostavno niso tako uporabne za vsak dan. Na prvo žogo deluje kolekcija celo malce hektično in zmedeno. Kljub temu, se v pomladni kolekciji Talbot Runhof lahko najde nekaj biserov. Če še vedno iščete popolno rdečo senčilo, bo 135 Skipper's Love prišel prav v kreativnih trenutkih. Odtenka 36A Golden Almond in 252 Lemon Flicker sta dokaj edinstvena in uporabna tudi za kanček razigrane pastelne a zlate barve. Medtem ko je 515 Mat Stony Shore nepogrešljiva nevtralno golobje siva za vse blondinke - tako za obrvi, senčenje in nevtralne videze. Volume Supreme Maskara je čudovita, trepalnice lepo loči ter jih hkrati optično podaljša in poveča. Vsekakor moj najljubši kos te kolekcije. Poleg vseh predstavljenih izdelkov lahko v kolekciji raziščete še 6 Perfect Mat šmink (teksturo sem preizkusila v Mullerju in potrjujem nakup), 2 nova odtenka Hydra Lip Booster glosa, 3 novi odtenki Eye Designer senčil, 4 laki, 1 svinčnik za ustnice in rdečilo s čudovitim cvetličnim potiskom. Multitasker Artdeco Sparkling Lash Drops (about 9,95-15,00€) can easily serve for glitter brows, glitter lashes, glitter base for glitter roots and even inner corner highlight. Sticky base is fully functional on any sort of face surface and dries into a non-sticky, budge-proof texture. It's easily applied to your lashes or brows as you can only need to brush it through with a mascara type of brush. You can layer it over any sort of mascara or brow gel while it fixes in terms of minutes. No fallout, no mess. Glitters in this product are somewhat of a light champagne colour - universally suitable for all eye looks. It's definitely not a necessity for every day, but if you're craving to spice up your look for the festive season, give it a go! It's a lovely multitasker and you're pretty much well covered in glitters. 

Najbolj vsestranski izdelek v kolekciji je Sparkling Lash Drops (okoli 9,95€, naroči tukaj) ki zlahka služi kot dodatek obrvem, trepalnicam, osvetljevalec notranjih kotičkov očesa in tudi baza za nadaljnje plastenje bleščic. Namreč, gel je ob iztisu dokaj lepljiv in se zlahka oprime vseh delov telesa. Z nekaj minutami pa se strdi v nemotečo teksturo, ki poda le lesk. Bleščice ne odpadajo in oblačila bodo ostala čista. Zlahka se plasti preko navadnih maskar, gelov za obrvi in ostalih kozmetičnih izdelkov. Sam nanos je prav tako čisto enostaven, saj gel pokrtačimo na predelih s čopičem, ki je enak obliki krtačke. Barva samih bleščic je nekje med nevtralno šampanjec in pristaja vsakemu ličenju. Vsekakor ta majhna zadevica ni nujno potrebna za vsak dan, vendar če hrepenite po kančku bleščic, bo ta pokril vse predele vašega telesa.

Artdeco Glam Stars Liquid Eye Liner #11 (about 10,80€) is a taupe based glitter gel liner with a precise tip for any face corner. You can layer it over black liquid liner or add a touch of sparkle in your inner corners. It would look extra special over brown liner. Again, it dries down and glitters don't budge. I love, love to add lighter eyeliners in my inner eye corner for that extra glow. Easy peasy. With thin tip you can easily draw thin lines and shapes.

Artdeco Glam Stars Liquid Eye Liner (okoli 10,95€, naroči tukaj) v odtenku 11 Platinum je prozoren gel, ki vsebuje ogromno število platinasto rjavih delcev za osvetlitev. Kakor pove že samo ime, ima izdelek tanek aplikator za bolj precizen nanos. Z njim se zlahka riše majhne oblike ali tanke linije. Uporablja se lahko preko navadnega črtnega črtala za bolj glamurozen videz, obenem pa se lahko sam plasti tudi na spodnji del veke ali notranje kotičke očes. S delci se lahko tako osvetli notranji predel očesa, obenem pa bleščice niso tako intenzivno vidne. Sama uporabljam to tehniko tudi čez celo leto, malce bleščic nikoli ne škodi. Tudi ta izdelek se po nanosu posuši, bleščice pa se ne premikajo po obrazu. 

Artdeco Glam Stars Lip Glosses  (about 11,99€) are available in 3 different colours for Arctic Beauty. All three shades are shifting with different tones, the inspiration is purely from Arctic aurora. So-called chameleon effect is stronger at lighter shades while my pick, 31 Glam Frozen Orchid, is a shimmery pink with blue and yellow shift. Lips look juicy and plump with an extra dimension and there's no signs of visible frost effect. I love Artdeco lipglosses in general, as they are non-sticky, comfortable on the lips and smell delicious. Glam Stars in particular are usually shimmery and have a flower-vanilla scent. Doe foot applicator is soft enough, while packaging looks luxurious. In terms of opacity, they cover pretty well for a lipgloss, I'd say about sheer to medium opacity. Wet look and shiny particles make your lips look fuller. I've paired #31 with corresponding lipstick 105 Cool Coral.

Artdeco Glam Stars Lip Gloss (okoli 11,95€, naroči tukaj) sestavlja kolekcijo v treh novih barvnih odtenkih. Sama formula bleščila za ustnice je že stalnica na Artdeco policah, vendar so tokrat dodali tri nove, omejene odtenke. Navdih so črpali iz polarnega sija, v katerem se prepletajo lestvice barv. Tako imenovane ''kameleon'' barve v samem bleščilu se prelivajo drugače ob različnih osvetlitvah. Najbolj prelivajoča sta svetlejša odtenka, medtem ko je moja izbira, 31 Glam Frozen Orchid, nevtralno svetlikajoča roza s prelivajočo svetlo modro in rumeno. Bleščilo naredi ustnice sijoče, mehke in polne. Na splošno so Artdeco bleščila zelo udobna, nelepljiva in dišijo po karameli ali cvetlicah z vanilijo. Če se dotaknem še prekrivnosti, je bleščilo v dobrem rangu srednje prekrivnosti. Sama sem ga na slikah uporabila v kombinaciji s Perfect Color šminko v odtenku 105 Cool Coral.

Artdeco added three new shades to their permanent line of Perfect Color (about 12€). They might look terrifying on the first glance due to frosty finish, but fear not! There are actually one cream finish and 2 frosts, which don't look as frosty once on the lips. 105 Cool Coral in particular, looks like a rose with golden shimmer. On the lips, it's rather cooler and less frosty on me. It's perfectly wearable even if you hate frost finishes. They made a perfect balance between frosty enough, to make fuller lips, and creamy enough, to make it look wearable. As I've said in the past, Perfect Color formula is just outstanding for the price. It's creamy, opaque and smells like vanilla. Packaging is almost better than high-end versions and it's heat resistent. On top of all, Arctic Beauty colours have a cute detailed snowflake on the actual cap. Cute!

Odtenki lahko na prvi pogled izgledajo dokaj zastrašujoče zaradi dodanih svetlečih delcev, vendar boste ob nanosu presenečeni. Namreč, šminka nima močnega, zastarelega bleščečega zaključka, ampak se nanaša skoraj kot kremna verzija rdečila. Če vas je kljub temu strah, lahko izberete odtenek 101, ki ne vsebuje dodatnih svetlikajočih delcev. 105 Cool Coral, katero nosim na slikah, je nevtralno temno roza z zlatim sijajem. Brez bleščila je šminka vsekakor videti malce toplejša. Formula samih Perfect Color šmink je neverjetna, saj nudi ugodje, močno obarvanost, vonj vanilije in neprodušno embalažo, ki preprečuje vdor toplote. Za piko na i imajo šminke iz Arctic Beauty dodan simbol snežinke.

The main star of the collection is Arctic Beauty Dust (14,99-30,00€), a perfectly wrapped up silver/pink glitters in a single spritz. Vanity-worthy packaging is just luxurious and it will make you feel like a hollywood lady. At first, I was pretty confused what to do with it and how to actually use it. Then glitter roots came along and I was loading up my hair with shimmer powder without a shame. What I like about this particular beauty dust, is that shimmery powder doesn't transfer as easily as I thought at first. Particles pretty much stay in place and if you top them up with a hair spray, you're golden. I also used in on my cheeks for extra sparkle. It has a flowery scent and delicate shimmery powder transfers evenly on your chest, arms and hair. 

Najbolj svetlikajoča zvezda kolekcije je vsekakor Arctic Beauty Dust (okoli 19,95€, naroči tukaj), popolno oblečen srebrno/roza subtilen prah. Tale majhen kos je popoln dekorativni dodatek za mizo ličil, saj se boste ob pogledu nanj počutili kot Hollywoodska dama. Priznam, da sem bila sprva malce zbegana kako in kje ta izdelek uporabljati. Hitro sem ugotovila, da je primeren tako za kožo kot tudi lase, obenem pa še odišavi s subtilnim vonjem vanilije. Že čez nekaj ur sem nanašala ta čudežni prah na moje lase. Končni rezultat je dokaj minimalističen a hkrati pravljičen, saj doda svetlobo na pravih mestih. Če vse skupaj utrdite še z lakom za lase, potem imate zagotovljeno magičnost za cel dan. Uporabljam ga tudi na vrhu lic, po dekolteju in rokah. Odličen magičen dodatek za novoletno ali božično zabavo.

Arctic Beauty is truly full of surprises and prismatic beauty items. It's something different for that festive feel yet it's delicate and light like inspirational aurora. Glitters and shimmers can be your worst enemy throughout the entire year so it's perfectly understandable to fully incorporate them into your New Year's look or Christmas Eve makeup. I love to take a plunge into glitters if only there's a chance. While Arctic Beauty Dust might not be a cup of tea for every day, I'm sure you will like Perfect Color lipsticks and Glam Stars Lipgloss on your daily basis. Glam Stars Liquid Eye Liner is not bad either, just a small pop of light into your tear duct.
