Essence came out with renovated assortment for Fall 2013.
For the longest time I've missed pigmented lipsticks in their regular collection.
They finally made a variety of pigmented lipsticks that are suppose to be long lasting.
Since I have almost every lipstick color imagined, I picked up the most neutral one- 07 Natural Beauty.
Natural Beauty is a mid-toned rose with a mauve undertones.
It's that typical ''my lips but better'' shade which doesn't wash you out since it has rose undertones.
I have lots of nude lipsticks in my collection but this particular shade is quite unique.
DUPE ALERT! It's a perfect dupe for Urban Decay lipstick in Naked yet a tinge more warm.
The longevity is mediocre and stays on for about 2-4 hours.
Pigmentation is great and the texture is super comfortable.
They don't have any particular scent and the packaging doesn't feel tacky or cheap.
I have to admit I was quite surprised with the quality and shade range- Good job Essence!
I'm happy Essence finally released some proper lipsticks and not just kiddish lippies in cheap plastic tubes. Natural Beauty 07 is a perfect everyday shade and it compliments almost every skin tone. I would highly suggest to check out Essence Longlasting lipsticks at affordable 2,5€.
PROS: great formula, comfortable to wear, great shade range, good pigmentation, affordable price
CONS: it's not longlasting, no scent, boring packaging (yet not tacky)
RATING: B+
I hope to see this at my local Essence stand soon! >_< The items we get here are always really outdated (several collections late) and usually out of stock T_T
ReplyDeleteThis lipstick colour looks great! In the tube it looks kinda dull but on the lips it looks really good. :)
Hopefully they'll get quicker for you guys too :) Looks boring in the tube but a whole different story on the lips. Gives kind of a ''vintage feel'' to your face :) You will love Wear Berries from their color selection for sure!

ReplyDeleteEmbalaža je super in težka na dotik samo jaz imam raje kakšne ''girly'' embalaže kot npr. Etude House :DD
DeleteTudi meni je pakiranje všeč :) Drugače pa krasna barva, definitivno jo morem kupit. Že kr vidim, da bo postala ena izmed mojih ljubših :)

DeleteSuper šminka, ravno danes sem jo kupila, samo roza po imenu Cotton Candy. Mehkoba se mi zdi skoraj enaka kot pri Chanel, čudno :))

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you have similar color in 17 lipstick range! It's kind of similar to Beehive but more mauve for orientation :)

I'm pretty sure you can find dupes :) I didn't find any similar color in our drugstores. If you're from UK, try Beehive instead.

ReplyDeleteThe packaging is a little dull. I love the my lips but better look and boys are so silly. They're always like see so much better than wearing lipstick...I'm like I AM STILL wearing lipstick haha.

Didn't look so great on me : ( I wanted a neutral pink like Mac Creme Cup- this was not it. Too rosy and mauvey and a little too much blue undertones (if that makes sense). The texture does feel nice though. I'm Mac NC15-20, dark brown hair, greenish hazel eyes, if that helps anyone with this shade. It wasn't awful- it just made me kind of washed out and slightly off...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that. Yeah, it's way rosy than Creme cup, with more reddish tones. Try it multiple times and you'll see if you 'll like it or not.
