If I had to choose among Lush perfumes: Autumn Picks

You might be thinking I'm slowly turning into a quirky LUSH lady but the reality is - I've just wanted to find a way to indulge Lush in another way than simply watching their bath bombs on display (and wishing I had a bath tub too). You, bath bomb lovers, can laugh all you want. I will comfort my sorrow in Lush perfumes and shower gels. I'm beginning to master my Lush scents. Seriously. Ever since Amelie Mae (read about it here) became my summer jam, I'm actually realising how much I've been missing out - not trying Lush perfumes beforehand. If you're a Lushie you most definitely need to find your favourite Lush scent! It's an obligatory step you need to take. But can you really bond to only one scent when there's so much colourfulness that suits different moods?

Mogoče se vam zdim že kot pokvarjena LUSH plošča, ampak po resnici? Želela sem raziskati še Lush parfume ker se samo slinim ob njihovih kopalnih kroglicah - ki ne pridejo v upoštev pri meni doma. Lush dišave so več kot barvne lestvice vonjev, pustijo močen pečat ravno zaradi nenavadnih mešanic, ki so daleč stran od generičnih poizkusov. Po poletni romanci z Amelie Mae (preberi tukaj) sem še bolj zaljubljena v čarovnije Lusha. Ko enkrat postaneš pravi Lushie, je raziskovanje svoje Lush identitete zabaven proces. Vprašanje je le, ali se lahko odločiš le za en vonj v mavrici dišav?

Natural fragrance for hard-working mom and grandma

Weleda perfumes Jardin de Vie (about 19,99€ at 50ml) are a pretty recent novelties on Weleda shelves. Inspiration came from live gardens and their popular lines of rose, sea buckthorn and pomegranate. I admit, scent is pretty unknown to my scent buds and the intensity is really strong. Rose, a cheerful natural interpretation of Chloe, and Agrume, a sparkly citrusy sugared scent can definitely cover a more younger and also mature generation. They are both fresh with a lovely herbal twist that's almost unnoticeable. Moms and middle aged women will be thrilled. On the other hand, Grenade is a much more mature scent with neroli, orange, vanilla. It's for older women with more grace and more sharp taste. It's nothing like pomegranate but rather a herbal mix of citruses and neroli.

Naravne dišave za mamo ali babico, kateri si zaslužita več kot poljub

Dišave Jardin de Vie (19,99€ za 50ml) so dokaj nove pridobitve na Weleda policah. Inspiracija se je črpala iz že obstoječih a trdno zasidranih linij, zakar smo priča trem naravnim dišavam divje vrtnice, rakitovca in granatnega jabolka. Priznam, da smo mi vonji popolnoma tuji v primerjavi z ostalimi sintetičnimi dišavami. So nekaj posebnega, zato priporočam da jih povonjate pred nakupom. Kljub temu vam lahko pomagam z nekaj iztočnicami po mojem okusu. Na lastno presenečenje sem najbolj navdušena nad divjo vrtnico, kljub temu da ne maram vonja pravih vrtnic. Spominja na Chloe parfume, obenem pa vsebuje bergamotko, geranijo, ylang-ylang in cedro. Vsekakor najbolj mladostna izbira. Obenem je tudi rakitovec dokaj svež in citrusen, osebno me spominja na citrusne šumeče tablete. Moji mami je neznansko všeč, meni niti ne tako zelo. Divjo vrtnico ter rakitovec bi lahko uporabljale mlade ženske ali tiste v zlatih srednjih letih. Nepričakovano granatno jabolko je popolno nasprotje od svežine - z nerolijem, pomarančo, davano in vanilijo je vonj malce težek ampak mogočen. Primeren je tako za zimske dni, kot tudi starejše ženske z močno izoblikovanim in prefinjenim okusom.

Skinfood cream (5,69-11,00€) from Weleda is a herbal classic among many beauty enthusiasts. It takes care of every wound, scratch or cracked skin while it soothes with herbal extracts like marigold, chamomile and many others. Due to high percentage of herbal, it also has a distinct scent that's easily unisex. Actually, your boyfriend or dad will probably like the scent even more. Cream can be used absolutely everywhere - from knees up to elbows, lips and face. Dry skin with dry patches can also be fixed in the matter of days. I preferably use it around my nose area or through entire face when my skin is dry.

Krema Skin Food (5,69€ za 30ml) je Weledina klasika, ki je nikakor ne smete zamuditi. Poskrbi prav za vsak hrapav kotiček kože in vsako prasko, saj na osnovi zelišč pomirja in neguje suho, hrapavo ali razpokano kožo. Mačeha, kamilica in ognjič bodo varno zaščitili, hkrati pa dodajo kremi dokaj zeliščen vonj. Krema se tako rekoč lahko uporablja vsepovsod - od komolcev, kolen in obraza. Suha koža, ki se malce lušči, mi je še kako znana v zimskih dneh. Sama najraje uporabljam Skin Food na okončinah ali po obrazu - negovalna olja in zelišča še kako prijajo kot dodatna nega. With soothing wild rose oil you'll bound to see success. It helps to reduce the appearance of ageing and smoothes out the skin's texture. It increases elasticity and keeps skin hydrated through the day. It's perfect for all women over 25-30 and I love to use it before my actual makeup application. It has a light yet creamy texture that's perfect for cold weather. Along with Wild Rose, there's also an option of Almond care for sensitive skin, Iris for hydration, Pomegranate for anti-age effect and Primrose for radiance.

Poleg vseh mogočih krem za obraz iz Welede, je Vlažilna krema divje vrtnice (16,78€ za 30ml) pritegnila mojo pozornost izključno zaradi predhodnih priporočil na spletu. Ker je nega dokaj hranljiva in vrtnica uspešno zadržuje vlago v koži, lahko omili tudi dejavnike staranja. Prve gubice so lahko majhna nadloga, vendar z redno uporabo olja divje vrtnice v sami kremi izboljša elastičnost in obnavljanje kože. Primerna je za vse nad 30.letom, kljub temu pa jo sama obožujem kot podlago za ličila. Ima lahko teksturo, hkrati pa odlično nahrani mojo suho kožo. Enostavno varna izbira, če pa obožujete vonj vrtnic, pa se lahko ponovno zaljubite. Magical sticks for sister's polished nails and cuticles

Pomegranate nail care is also a recent novelty among Weleda's family. It includes three products that will make your cuticles and nails shine. Nail Care Pen in particular is one of the products that caught my attention due to horrific cuticles on my sister's hands. They were painful, obvious and of need for extra care. Nail Care Pen sorted out her problems in no time, I can easily say within a week or two. The texture is light but oily and sinks into the cuticles in terms of seconds. It also smells like fresh orange or pomegranate, absolutely yummy. The other two, Cuticle Softener Pen and Shine Pen can be tested by you - just follow until the end of the post for a small giveaway.

Magične paličice za vedno urejene sestrine nohtke in obnohtno kožico

Tudi nega nohtov z granatnim jabolkom je svež vetrič na našem trgu. Oboževalke manikur in vedno urejenih nohtov bodo popolnoma očarane nad tremi izdelki (9,99-10,99€), ki sestavljajo linijo. S sestro sva potestirali Svinčnik za nego nohtov in obnohtne kožice, vam pa v nadaljevanju objave prepuščam test ostalih dveh paličic. Z čopastim aplikatorjem se je oljna vsebina zlahka nanesla na obnohtno kožico. Tekstura je enostavno fenomenalna, saj je oljnata, hkrati pa se v trenutku vpije in ne pušča oljnih sledi. Obnohtna kožica se je popravila že po nekaj nanosih in dnevih, sam zapeljiv vonj granatnega jabolka pa omami. Vsekakor dobi Svinčnik za nego nohtov in obnohtne kožice en velik plus za takšno učinkovitost in odlično teksturo. Ponavadi ne opazim sprememb tako hitro, ampak ta svinčnik je zlata vreden. Učinek lahko pripišem naravnim sestavinam kot so karitejevo maslo, olje granatnega jabolka in čebeljemu vosku ter oljem kokosa, soje, mandlja, jojobe. Le katera bi se lahko uprla urejenim nohtom?

Marc Jacobs Perfume Lady

If I had to choose one perfume brand to stick with it my entire lifetime, I would most certainly pick Marc Jacobs in a heartbeat. Popular releases or not, my heart stops for a second when there's a newly released fragrance as I find Marc Jacobs fragrance style, bottle design and perfume blends perfectly matching my personal interpretation of uniqueness. I do admit that not every single fragrance appeal to me, but majority is already proudly standing on my makeup vanity. Being a Marc Jacobs lady, likability of certain style of scents might be inherited as my younger sister is also a original Daisy-to-die fan. Speaking of...did you detect this Summer edition of Daisy and Daisy Eau So Fresh? With captivating name Sorbet Edition they give a whole new perspective with a fruity and citrusy twist to old faithful floral notes.

Če bi me kdo postavil pred dejstvo, da moram izbrati le eno znamko dišav do konca svojega življenja, bi nedvomno takoj izbrala Marc Jacobs. Vedno močno popularne dišave ali ne, moje srce se za trenutek ustavi takoj ko zaslišim novico o novi Marc Jacobs stvaritvi. Enostavno občutim ''klik'' z Marc Jacobs slogom, vedno inovativnimi stekleničkami in parfumskimi mešanicami, ki zame predstavljajo edinstvenost in tako izstopajo iz množice. Priznam tudi, da mi sicer vsak Marc Jacobs parfum ne predstavlja vrhunca parfumske industrije, je pa vsekakor večina njihov dišav ponosno postavljenih na moji kozmetični mizici. Kot večne klasike bi vsekakor izpostavila Daisy in Dot. Kot samooklicana Marc Jacobs gospodična, vsekakor razmišljam o podedovanem okusu za določene vonje parfumov. Verjetno ni naključje, da je tudi moja mlajša sestra trdna zaveznica originalne in vsestranske Daisy. Če smo že ravno pri Daisy...ali ste letos opazili poletno kolekcijo z dodano radostjo h originalni Daisy in Daisy Eau So Fresh? Kolekcija za Poletje 2015 se tako imenuje Sorbet Edition, katera poda novo perspektivo s citrusno-sadnimi notami k dobri stari, preizkušeni cvetlični formuli. 

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet Edition, a universally likable spin on well known Daisy Eau so Fresh fragrance, still captures freshness but gives a pinch of extra fruitiness. If I start with my initial interpretation first, I would describe it as a clean scent with hints of mandarin, magnolia and lotus. Those are the main key ingredients I detect on my skin. With hours passing by, you're able to detect a slight change as it gets a bit more sweet and musky. It matches perfectly with younger women and those, only starting to explore fragrances. It's mild yet fresh and definitely not overpowering for everyday. Clean floral notes give that ''just showered effect'' while there's no obviously painful sweet notes. Out of my entire Marc Jacobs collection, this is the most universally likable scent as it doesn't overpower with certain notes or style. Lightweight is what would describe it most accurately. Sorbet might mislead you thinking it's an overly sweet and cotton candy like scent but it's indeed sticking to it's Eau So Fresh roots, where's apple blossom an important compound. 

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet Edition kot kanček drugačna verzija originalne Eau So Fresh dišave, zajema veliko več svežine z dodatkom sadnih citrusov. Če najprej povzamem moj lasten pogled na dišavo, bi jo opisala kot čist vonj z dokaj močno noto mandarine in lotusa kot začetni vtis. Magnolija je prav tako očitna, da bi jo lahko označila kot glavno noto na moji koži. Z urami se vonj začne polegati v bolj nežnejši, slajši pridih magnolije in mošusa. Dišava je tako odlična izbira za mlajše ženske ali tiste, ki šele začnejo spoznavati svet višje kakovostnih dišav. Z nežnim, čistim vonjem ni premočan za vsak dan, hkrati pa daje ''pravkar stuširan'' vtis brez premočnih sladkih not. Iz moje celotne kolekcije je ta Eau So Fresh Sorbet najbolj univerzalno všečen vonj, kateri nima prezapletenih ali nenavadnih not. Lahkotnost s kančkom mandarine bi lahko najbolje opisalo celoten koncept. Sorbet kot ime kolekcije lahko zlahka zavede, da takoj pomislite na močan sladek vonj, vendar se kolekcija zares drži cvetlične osnove originalne Eau So Fresh.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh Sorbet Edition is described as having mandarin, apple blossom and lotus as top notes. Middle notes are containing magnolia, jasmine and violet. Woody notes and musk give a cherry on top as a base components. You can easily detect lotus as a green clean component while mandarin gives a first strong kick of citrus. I'm not entirely familiar with apple blossom but I can easily detect strong magnolia a bit of violet. If you truly enjoy magnolia and citrusy scents, you might want to snatch it before it's gone for good. Sorbet Edition, also including a unique spin on original Daisy, is limited collection for Summer 2015. Also, it's a perfect timing to catch it on extra sales or discounts due to the last breath of Summer season. Eau so Fresh Sorbet retails around 65€ for 75ml of Eau de Toilette Spray. I do enjoy it fairly more than Oh, Lola! but not more than original Daisy or Dot. I'm still on a hunt after missing Honey. You can still read about previously reviewed Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream and there's also a newly released Daisy Dream Forever. Marc Jacobs fragrances are also widely available online (look up FeelUnique, FragranceDirect or Escentual) and in Slovenia, in well stocked beauty shops like Muller, Kompas Shop and Beautique.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet ima kot zgornje note mandarino, jabolčni cvet in lotus. Srednje note zajemajo magnolijo, vijolico in jasmin. Medtem pa sta mošus in lesne note osnova ali baza. Sama najhitreje zaznam lotus in mandarino, medtem ko se magnolija najbolj razvije v prvi uri. Sama jasmina ne zaznam dovolj, vijolica pa se malce skriva v ozadju magnolije. Če resnično uživate v čistih in citrusno cvetnih vonjih, potem nedvomno čimprej ulovite omejeno kolekcijo Sorbet za Poletje 2015. Prav tako je odličen čas, glede na to da je že skoraj konec poletja, da lahko ulovite to dišavo za nižjo ceno. Eau So Fresh Sorbet se cenovno giblje okoli 65-75€ za 75ml. Osebno mi je vonj bolj všeč kot Oh,Lola! vendar ne prekosi originalne Daisy ali Dot. Sama sem še vedno na lovu za Marc Jacobs Honey za prihajajočo jesen. O sami Daisy Dream sem že pisala, kar si lahko preberete tukaj. Čisto sveža Daisy Dream Forever pa je najnovejši dojenček te parfumske družine. Marc Jacobs dišave so na voljo po vsej Sloveniji, v bolje založenih lepotnih trgovinah kot so Muller, Kompas Shop in Beautique. 

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream

Craving ultimate fresh, spring scent? Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is a perfect example of fresh and clean. Along with Dot, they are my ultimate rebels to conquer in spring with airy, clean notes. Daisy Dream is quite an unusual pick for me, compared to rest of my perfume collection. 

Daisy Dream includes top notes of blackberry, pear, grapefruit, while middle notes are based upon wisteria, jasmine, litchi. Base notes got an unusual mixture of coconut, white wood, musk which are pretty subtle. Personally, scent seems really airy and I couldn't detect fruity notes upon my first sniff. Bitterness and sweetness of blackberry is pronounced within first few minutes but settles down into floral, greenish wisteria scent. It's like taking a refreshing shower and wearing freshly washed pyjamas all day long. I can't deny, scent is a bit too fresh for my personal taste. Daisy Dream is in general nothing groundbreaking for my sweet/fruity taste but seems an ideal choice for women, who love clean and floral notes. Also, scent is adorably innocent, which makes it a perfect youth booster. Bottle itself is highly photogenic, gorgeously detailed and still elegant. It has a moderate staying power and is subtle enough for everyday errands. 

Daisy Dream definitely cannot beat it's older sister Daisy, cult classic for a reason. In general, I'm truly happy with Marc Jacobs fragrances and their superb quality. I recommend Daisy Dream to all women who love simple and airy scents with a touch of floral note. A 30ml bottle retails from 45€ up to 60€, depending where you buy. Last Minute Holiday Fragrance Samplin' & Reviews

I never really ventured into different fragrance notes other than fruity and vanilla scents. I mostly stick with my sweet, fruity or spicy scents with exception of Marc Jacobs, my ultimate favourite brand for fresh and innovative scents. I got a generous bunch of perfume samples - so why not sharing it with you? Some of you are certainly picking up last minute gifts or getting money & gift cards to spend. Everyone has a different taste so keep in mind, you might not like the same exact scents nor your skin will react the same. While some scents smell really citrusy on me, they might be more woody on another skin. Preferably try them in stores before you head out and buy a scent you might not like in the future.

My absolute pick of the bunch is Cartier La Panthere. Did I say Cartier? Until recently, I didn't even realise Cartier perfumes exist. I was so struck with the paper sample, I went straight to my nearest Müller and tried La Panthere on my skin. I can't even describe the scent. It's a gorgeous, velvety, winter scent that has a lot of warmth. It's woody at the same time. I would call it a mix of grandma, sophistication, a mix of vanilla and musk. It's also a bit fruity on the beginning, which makes it wearable for day time. Not to mention a perfectly sculpted bottle with panther (I'm such a cat person). Van Cleef & Arpels Gardenia Petale is another undiscovered gem, which was launched in 2009. As the name suggests, this perfume is filled with seductive gardenia. Scent is really similar to a Lush store but more fruity-floral and nature-like, all in one. It's definitely not a fake green scent but works like a  lovely, natural scent straight from your garden (or a green beauty shop). I absolutely adore this scent, I only wish longevity wasn't an issue. I have a hunch gardenia must be my thing.

My second favourite are Marc Jacobs fragrances in general. I actually own both - Dot and Daisy along with Oh,Lola and Daisy Dream. Their style of scents grew on me after trying stash from my sister. Fresh, airy and different is what I would call the entire  Jacobs bunch. Daisy is a staple of sour freshness while Dot is a bit more bitter, green and fresh for Spring. Daisy Dream is for those, who love clean blanket kind-of-scent with captured fresh air. If you want to start with one, you can't miss with Daisy. Lanvin Me L'absolu is a fairly new and young scent with main notes of white flowers. It's girly yet grown up at the same time. I can detect mandarin freshness on the beginning but develops into a jasmine, peony scent after. A soft scent, appropriate for young women. It's not my favourite but quite likable for wider audience.

Third hefty category of pure perfection includes Chloé. I'm definitely not unfamiliar with their scents, my personal top picks are L'eau de Chloé (which was actually my recent purchase for my sister) and See By Chloé. L'eau de Chloé is similar to a walk into the woods in Spring, freshly green like lily of the valley. If you were one of those, who spend a lot of time in the woods with your grandma, this is probably the most nostalgic scent ever. See By Chloé never caught my attention due to unfamiliar Chloé bottle. It's powdery yet fresh and fruity. You can easily detect vanilla in the background and imagine a white wonderland. To me, it's another unique scent you can't miss out. Others like Love Story Chloé, Roses de Chloé, Love Chloé didn't quite caught my attention although I do like original Chloé.

Thierry Mugler Alien and Angel, cult classics, are quite likable as well. Let me note, I never got so many compliments on my perfume as with these two. Actually, women wanted to know exactly which perfume it is for trying it out. Alien Eau Extraordinare has white flowers and citrus notes on the beginning, but develops into an all rounder. It's gentle yet strong enough to leave an impact. Highly recommend. On the other hand, Angel is a spicy, gourmet scent with coconut, melon, mandarin orange, jasmine, cotton candy and bergamot. Middle notes include honey, apricot and other food-like notes. I find it quite exhilarating but you definitely won't be able to wear it every day. Tonka bean, amber, patchouli, musk, vanilla, dark chocolate, caramel make this scent hefty and sweet. Actually, it's a huge hit or a miss, depending on how much sweetness can you bear. Jimmy Choo Flash is a standard, night out scent with captivating white flowers. It isn't anything special in my book, but have to give it a big thumbs up for longevity.

Calvin Klein and Cavalli perfumes are my least favourite out of the bunch. They both give me headaches and scents in general don't suit my skin. On top of all, bottles aren't really attractive - but that's just my personal taste. Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty is another fruity, white floral scent that's gentle but quite ordinary. Down Town by Calvin Klein has a young vibe with main notes of gardenia, pink pepper, violet and cedar. This floral-woody scent is kind of unique yet familiar to other low-end fragrances. Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum is a heavier, with lots of  vanilla and white flowers. It's categorised as oriental-floral.

L'occitane Vanille & Narcisse perfume - La Collection de Grasse

L'Occitane recently came out with new La Collection de Grasse.

Collection contains four perfumes with corresponding body lotions, soaps, shower gels.

New scents are Magnolia & Müre, Jasmin & Bergamot, Vert & Bigarade, Vanille & Narcisse.

I recently took a sniff of all scents where Vanille & Narcisse stood out for me the most.

Luckily my boyfriend always knows what's best and he surprised me for our anniversary.

I'm a big fan of sweet, fruity and warm/spicy scents but hate true floral scents (especially roses).

As the name suggests these perfumes are combined out of two prevailing notes.

In my case it's Vanille and Narcisse with

Top Notes: Black currant, Bergamot

Middle Notes: Narcissus, Gardenia

Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Vanilla

In short I could describe this as a warm vanilla with oriental twist.

You can definitely smell vanilla and narcissus all the way with some balmy and aromatic notes.

Firstly the scent smells really universal- could be worn by men and women.

However it develops over time into an almost sickly sweet smell of vanilla (realistic not artificial in any way!).

If you don't like long lasting and powerful warm/oriental scents this isn't your cup of tea.

This stays on me for the entire day although it's Eau De Toilette.

If you're looking for warm and sweet scent look no more.

This one has all expectations I had for oriental/spicy scents.

I like it as much as my Guerlain Lys Soleia and reminds me of Lush scents with tonka and bergamot - can't point fingers which product though.

It's quite expensive at about 55€ but do consider you get 75ml which is a rare occasion for a longlasting perfume.

If you're still in doubt you can always get travel sizes for 10€ for all four scents.

DIY Perfume Display (Easy way) and Perfume Collection

Searching for a glass tray is not that easy.

I was searching for a mirrored glass for my perfumes for the longest time until my boyfriend got an amazing idea.

He saw my holographic paper and suggested to make my own perfume tray/display (or whatever).

So I was feeling kind of creative...

It's actually really simple- you only need:

• Cardboard
• Scissors/ Sharp art knife
• Any kind of self-adhesive paper from art stores
• Ruler (optional)  

HOW TO MAKE ONE?

1.You can see I already cut out a circle from the cardboard - you can use a pin and a string for it.

2. Measure the picked self-adhesive paper and cut it out a bit larger than the cardboard so you can ''seal the edges'' on the end.

3. Place the paper on the cardboard and start removing the protecting foil on only 1 edge.

4. Gradually remove the protecting foil from paper and slowly straighten the surface (to prevent any bumps and lines).

5. When you finish- cut up the edge so it can be ''tucked'' over the other side of the display.

Hope you find it helpful- I'm sorry for my small vocabulary around art/crafting work.

You should end up with a straight plate- I used fingers to slowly straighten any air bumps.

Once you stick your paper on the cardboard you can't really correct the mistakes.

However nobody will see them once it's covered with perfumes.

And if you choose pattern/hologram paper it's less obvious to see mistakes.
