Natural fragrance for hard-working mom and grandma

Weleda perfumes Jardin de Vie (about 19,99€ at 50ml) are a pretty recent novelties on Weleda shelves. Inspiration came from live gardens and their popular lines of rose, sea buckthorn and pomegranate. I admit, scent is pretty unknown to my scent buds and the intensity is really strong. Rose, a cheerful natural interpretation of Chloe, and Agrume, a sparkly citrusy sugared scent can definitely cover a more younger and also mature generation. They are both fresh with a lovely herbal twist that's almost unnoticeable. Moms and middle aged women will be thrilled. On the other hand, Grenade is a much more mature scent with neroli, orange, vanilla. It's for older women with more grace and more sharp taste. It's nothing like pomegranate but rather a herbal mix of citruses and neroli.

Naravne dišave za mamo ali babico, kateri si zaslužita več kot poljub

Dišave Jardin de Vie (19,99€ za 50ml) so dokaj nove pridobitve na Weleda policah. Inspiracija se je črpala iz že obstoječih a trdno zasidranih linij, zakar smo priča trem naravnim dišavam divje vrtnice, rakitovca in granatnega jabolka. Priznam, da smo mi vonji popolnoma tuji v primerjavi z ostalimi sintetičnimi dišavami. So nekaj posebnega, zato priporočam da jih povonjate pred nakupom. Kljub temu vam lahko pomagam z nekaj iztočnicami po mojem okusu. Na lastno presenečenje sem najbolj navdušena nad divjo vrtnico, kljub temu da ne maram vonja pravih vrtnic. Spominja na Chloe parfume, obenem pa vsebuje bergamotko, geranijo, ylang-ylang in cedro. Vsekakor najbolj mladostna izbira. Obenem je tudi rakitovec dokaj svež in citrusen, osebno me spominja na citrusne šumeče tablete. Moji mami je neznansko všeč, meni niti ne tako zelo. Divjo vrtnico ter rakitovec bi lahko uporabljale mlade ženske ali tiste v zlatih srednjih letih. Nepričakovano granatno jabolko je popolno nasprotje od svežine - z nerolijem, pomarančo, davano in vanilijo je vonj malce težek ampak mogočen. Primeren je tako za zimske dni, kot tudi starejše ženske z močno izoblikovanim in prefinjenim okusom.

Skinfood cream (5,69-11,00€) from Weleda is a herbal classic among many beauty enthusiasts. It takes care of every wound, scratch or cracked skin while it soothes with herbal extracts like marigold, chamomile and many others. Due to high percentage of herbal, it also has a distinct scent that's easily unisex. Actually, your boyfriend or dad will probably like the scent even more. Cream can be used absolutely everywhere - from knees up to elbows, lips and face. Dry skin with dry patches can also be fixed in the matter of days. I preferably use it around my nose area or through entire face when my skin is dry.

Hrana za očetove ali fantove praske, ki so jih neštetokrat pridobili le za vas

Krema Skin Food (5,69€ za 30ml) je Weledina klasika, ki je nikakor ne smete zamuditi. Poskrbi prav za vsak hrapav kotiček kože in vsako prasko, saj na osnovi zelišč pomirja in neguje suho, hrapavo ali razpokano kožo. Mačeha, kamilica in ognjič bodo varno zaščitili, hkrati pa dodajo kremi dokaj zeliščen vonj. Krema se tako rekoč lahko uporablja vsepovsod - od komolcev, kolen in obraza. Suha koža, ki se malce lušči, mi je še kako znana v zimskih dneh. Sama najraje uporabljam Skin Food na okončinah ali po obrazu - negovalna olja in zelišča še kako prijajo kot dodatna nega. With soothing wild rose oil you'll bound to see success. It helps to reduce the appearance of ageing and smoothes out the skin's texture. It increases elasticity and keeps skin hydrated through the day. It's perfect for all women over 25-30 and I love to use it before my actual makeup application. It has a light yet creamy texture that's perfect for cold weather. Along with Wild Rose, there's also an option of Almond care for sensitive skin, Iris for hydration, Pomegranate for anti-age effect and Primrose for radiance.

Nežna vrtnica za starejšo sestro ali mlado mamico, ki želi ohraniti mladostni obraz

Poleg vseh mogočih krem za obraz iz Welede, je Vlažilna krema divje vrtnice (16,78€ za 30ml) pritegnila mojo pozornost izključno zaradi predhodnih priporočil na spletu. Ker je nega dokaj hranljiva in vrtnica uspešno zadržuje vlago v koži, lahko omili tudi dejavnike staranja. Prve gubice so lahko majhna nadloga, vendar z redno uporabo olja divje vrtnice v sami kremi izboljša elastičnost in obnavljanje kože. Primerna je za vse nad 30.letom, kljub temu pa jo sama obožujem kot podlago za ličila. Ima lahko teksturo, hkrati pa odlično nahrani mojo suho kožo. Enostavno varna izbira, če pa obožujete vonj vrtnic, pa se lahko ponovno zaljubite. Magical sticks for sister's polished nails and cuticles

Pomegranate nail care is also a recent novelty among Weleda's family. It includes three products that will make your cuticles and nails shine. Nail Care Pen in particular is one of the products that caught my attention due to horrific cuticles on my sister's hands. They were painful, obvious and of need for extra care. Nail Care Pen sorted out her problems in no time, I can easily say within a week or two. The texture is light but oily and sinks into the cuticles in terms of seconds. It also smells like fresh orange or pomegranate, absolutely yummy. The other two, Cuticle Softener Pen and Shine Pen can be tested by you - just follow until the end of the post for a small giveaway.

Magične paličice za vedno urejene sestrine nohtke in obnohtno kožico

Tudi nega nohtov z granatnim jabolkom je svež vetrič na našem trgu. Oboževalke manikur in vedno urejenih nohtov bodo popolnoma očarane nad tremi izdelki (9,99-10,99€), ki sestavljajo linijo. S sestro sva potestirali Svinčnik za nego nohtov in obnohtne kožice, vam pa v nadaljevanju objave prepuščam test ostalih dveh paličic. Z čopastim aplikatorjem se je oljna vsebina zlahka nanesla na obnohtno kožico. Tekstura je enostavno fenomenalna, saj je oljnata, hkrati pa se v trenutku vpije in ne pušča oljnih sledi. Obnohtna kožica se je popravila že po nekaj nanosih in dnevih, sam zapeljiv vonj granatnega jabolka pa omami. Vsekakor dobi Svinčnik za nego nohtov in obnohtne kožice en velik plus za takšno učinkovitost in odlično teksturo. Ponavadi ne opazim sprememb tako hitro, ampak ta svinčnik je zlata vreden. Učinek lahko pripišem naravnim sestavinam kot so karitejevo maslo, olje granatnega jabolka in čebeljemu vosku ter oljem kokosa, soje, mandlja, jojobe. Le katera bi se lahko uprla urejenim nohtom?

Best Dreamy Nude Nail Polish - Bourjois Chair et tendre

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you've probably noticed my obsession with utterly charming Bourjois nail polish from La Laque line. I'm not talking about classic red from previous posts (read about Cherry'd amour here), instead, I've fallen in love with  a stunning, balanced nude called Chair et tendre. It has all the properties of a flattering nude - has a perfect mix of peach and pink while strong white base to make it noticeable on tan skin. Still, my chubby fingers are in no case tan whatsoever but Chair et tendre still manages to add a warmth to my skin. Beautifully poetic. Ever since I bought this nail polish on offer, I can't seem to stop wearing it, even though I was not interested in wearing nail polish for quite some time. It awakened my nail polish love.

02 Chair et tendre is a balanced pink-peach with strong white undertones and a hint of silver satin shimmer which are not visible on nails. Also, it looks slightly more peachy in person. It leaves a gorgeous creamy finish and it's opaque with only 1-2 swipes. Formula is a bit thicker than with regular nail polishes. Without topcoat, Chair et tendre lasts good 5 days which is a huge success in my book. If you fancy new bright but still subtle nude, Chair et tendre will blow your mind. Sophisticated but still unusually different. La Laques retail for around 7,18€ while you can often snap them on offer. It's tough to get me so excited over a single nail polish, so Chair et tendre is pretty exceptional in my book.

Bourjois La Laque: 8 Cherry d'amour

Long lasting, intense radiant color and absolute shine - yes, check please! New, triangular bottles of seductive shades will immediately draw attention to Bourjois. La Laque Collection consists of 12 nail polishes with trendy new colours, high shine and quirky design. After trying out their classic dark red, I'm pretty impressed by final result. They are indeed long lasting, opaque and ultra shiny. Along with Ciate, Bourjois nail polishes are the only ones which last on my nails over 3 days or more. 8 Cherry d'amour in particular, is a deepened ''black cherry'' color which looks a lot deeper in person (excuse my brightness) than on my swatches. With first layer, colour looks as a lovely pinkish red but gets a lot deeper with layering. Cherry d'amour is totally opaque with two swipes. Brush has a classic thin shape that spreads out upon application for easier precision. Nail polish dries up in a fair, standard time.

Obstojna, intenzivna barva in neverjeten sijaj? Ja, prosim! Nove, trikotne stekleničke zapeljivih barv bodo vsekakor ujele pozornost na policah Bourjois kozmetike. To so namreč novi, trend barvni laki iz kolekcije La Laque, ki zajema 12 poletnih barv z visokim sijajem in domiselno embalažo. Trikotne stekleničke lahko z lahkoto zložite skupaj po svoji volji, hkrati pa ne zavzamejo veliko prostora. Preizkusila sem najbolj rdečo barvo iz kolekcije, s katero sem več kot zadovoljna. Poleg Ciate lakov, so Bourjois laki edini ki zdržijo na mojih nohtih več kot 3 dni. Odtenek 8 Cherry d'amour je temno rdeče barve, ki spominja na črne češnje, na žalost pa na slikah izgleda barva presvetla. Vsekakor pričakujte temnejšo, bolj hladno barvo z malininim podtonom. Z enim slojem se tudi odlično poudari malinov-roza podton, kateri pa potemni z več sloji. Lak je popolnoma prekriven z dvema slojema. Sam čopič je v klasični tanki obliki, ki pa se malo razpre z samim nanašanjem. Enakomeren nanos je tako zlahka dosežen. Laki La Laque se posušijo dokaj hitro, primerljivo z ostalimi Bourjois laki.

As with all Bourjois nail polishes, I'm happy with my new La Laque addition. While red nails aren't exactly a signature summer look, Cherry d'amour will definitely impress women who love a classic look. Shade is also perfect for upcoming Fall and Winter if you're planning to wear a bold red lipstick and cosy jumpers. In terms of quality, longevity and color payoff, I have nothing to complain about. Bourjois nail polishes are a staple in my nail routine as they always bring out trendy and high quality products. La Laque Collection includes 12 unique shades which you can check out here. I'm especially drawn to Chair et Tendre, an opaque milky pink peach, and Lycheers, a deepened delicate rose mauve. They retail around 7,18€-10,95€ in European drugstores.

Kot pri vseh Bourjois izdelkih, sem tudi z novostjo La Laque zelo zadovoljna. Čeprav Cherry d'amour ni najbolj tipičen poletni odtenek, bo zagotovo navdušil privrženke klasičnih temno rdečih lakov. Odtenek bo prav tako odličen za hladnejše mesece, ko bo treba uporabiti močno temno šminko in puhast pulover. Kvaliteta, obstojnost in obarvanost so odlične, enostavno nimam pripomb. La Laque vsebuje 12 unikatnih odtenkov, katere lahko podrobneje pogledate tukaj. Jaz sem še posebej navdušena nad Chair et Tendre, prekriven mlečno mareličen odtenek, in Lycheers, delikaten pudrasto roza odtenek. Models Own Gel Effect without UV

Models Own is always on trend, releasing the most unexpected collections in nail department. HyperGel is a firm consistent with super shiny gel finish without any UV. For Spring, Models Own added to the HyperGel line additional 10 shades. Prude Nude in particular, is a pink based nude white - sheerer version of Essie Fiji and half the price. With 3 coats you can achieve fully opaque color or apply a layer or two for semi-opaque, natural look. In my case, I applied 2 coats of Prude Nude - opaque but still natural. While sheer nail polishes might not be my cup of tea, my mom will love this. It's perfect for topping extra layer to your french manicure. 

HyperGel offers gel effect without even using an UV light. It's definitely not as long lasting as UV nail polishes but offers shine with longevity of a regular nail polish. I highly recommend checking out other spring inspired colors with full opacity. Those of you, looking for a work appropriate nail polish, this might be your pick. Models Own Diamond Luxe is based around true diamond dust in your very own bottle. Shade that caught my attention, is Pear Purple, a perfect warm lavender with golden dust. Lavender on nails is never out of fashion, especially when there's spring around the corner. It's chic yet adorable enough for making your nails playful like in the older days. Color is fully opaque with 2 layers and has a standard applicator. Lasts around two days on my nails which is a fair amount of time in my case. No streaking, no fuss, just a lovely opaque color.

Models Own Disco Pants Roxy

Multidimensional purples are most common yet most beloved sort of polishes. What makes Models Own Disco Pants in Roxy different from others, is dimension and illusion of depth. Warm, almost duo chrome effect gives the final touch to this stunningly flashy shade. Applied on nails, it does lose some of mentioned dimension but still manages to stay fairly ''as pretty as in the bottle''. I wouldn't call it a must have, but check it out if you love deep purples with a twist. 

Roxy is fully opaque with 2 coats while still leaving some extra ''surprise factor'' for toppers. Longevity is still average, around 2-3 days tops on my nails.

Models Own Sweet Shop Collection

Models Own knows how to win over girls and women - just mix up perfect candy-like shades and add yummy candy scents for extra kick. Women will go absolutely mad over them and they're absolutely right. Nothing can win over a girl's heart more than a box of sweets. Sweet Shop Collection introduced us to retro inspired candy nail polish with matching scents. Made for treating, these bring back memories from the old days with old school candy - like licorice, rhubarb & custard jellies and pink bubblegum. They all smell deliciously sweet when they dry down and the scent lasts a day or two. Formula wise everything works as it should and nail polish usually lasts about 3 days on my nails. Brush is fairly thin but still manageable when you're in a hurry.

Liquorice Allsorts is a straight black nail polish that is opaque with 2 coats. Has a licorice fragrance that lasts for quite a long time, around impressive two days. It is great as a base coat, for stamping and other effects. Not my favourite scent in general, but a pleasant addition to a standard black nail polish collection.

Rhubarb & Custard is almost semi-opaque with 2 coats. It has a lovely jelly finish and a bit of transparency, which would look great over a white nail polish or on it's own. It also contains silver glitter which layer nicely enough for candy-like transparency. Color itself is a vibrant, warm red-pink-coral, similar to artificial jelly candy.

Fizzy Cola Bottles is potentially, a great fall color with lovely golden shimmer and some silver particles. Base is a mixture of grey taupe and brown- neutral yet warm due to golden shimmer. Truly complex color with a lovely cola scent. It's opaque with 2 layers and I haven't had any trouble with formula.

I'm always impressed by gimmicky things and Models Own is no exception. I appreciate innovative products and a solid theme around them. Scents like Licorice don't appeal, but that's just personal preference. In general, Sweet Shop doesn't lack quality and if you like certain colors, give it a go. Kardashian Beauty Impressions, Review and Swatches

 Kardashian Beauty got a lot of attention when it was firstly launched as Khroma Beauty, which was expected since it's a cosmetic brand directly from famous Kardashian sisters. That's why we expect even more performance than usual, considering they always wear flawless makeup (not that I expect they use these products). I do however appreciate it being made in USA, which is pretty rare these days when the China factories are so popular. Kardashian Beauty is available on Click2Chic to Slovenian readers and widely available on FeelUnique.

Kardashian Beauty je že nedavno, ob samem začetku Khrome, dobila dovolj pozornosti zaradi slavnih sester Kardashian. Ker so same vedno popolno naličene, imam zato še večja pričakovanja okoli njihove kozmetične linije. Dodaten plus te znamke je vsekakor to, da so vsi izdelki narejeni v ZDA. Kardashian Beauty je na voljo tudi v Sloveniji na strani največje spletne drogerije Click2Chic. Cene se gibljejo od 9,96-21€.

Let's start with popular En-joystick lip pencil, which is my favorite out of the bunch. I was actually pretty impressed with everything - pigmentation, longevity, comfort and scent. Everything comes in a medium sized pencil form which looks pretty cheap at first glance (being totally honest). However, once you try the product you'll be converted. Product has a lovely creamy and highly pigmented finish that hugs the lips really nicely. That's why is both- comfortable to wear and moisturising at the same time. Worry free product in my eyes, although reds raise fear in me. Longevity is around 5-7 hours without drinking or eating. It smells pretty fantastic, once you open the bullet you'll get a strong vanilla scent that lasts. The one and only complaint is the price and amount. You get 1g of product for whooping 13€. That's like a third of normal lipstick. But I guess I forgive it because of great formula and I'm even considering trying out lighter colors (once they're on sale). I have Rose Parade which is a neutral red with blue undertones. It's actually hard to describe. It leans very blue on my skin yet it can look warm on yellow skin tones (like my sister). I personally do not enjoy red lipsticks but this might make it in my permanent collection. I prefer to use it as a stain (cherry pink-red when sheered out) rather than full-on color.

En-joystick šminka v obliki svinčnika je vsekakor moja najljubša izbira. Bila sem navdušena nad vsem - tako pigmentacijo, nanosom, teksturo, vonjem. Embalaža izgleda na prvi pogled zelo nedodelana, vendar je sam izdelek resnično dober. Ta produkt ima zelo kremno teksturo, je močno pigmentiran in hkrati se ne premakne, ko ga nanesemo na ustnice. Zelo lepo nekako...objame ustnice in se ne premakne do 5-7 ur. Diši zelo močno po vaniliji, kar je meni osebno zelo všeč. Edini minus, ki sem ga zasledila s to šminko je cena in teža vsebine. En-joystick ima samo 1g produkta, kar je le tretjina navadne šminke za okoli 14€. Ampak glede na izredno dobro formula, produktu mogoče celo oprostim. Odtenek Rose Parade je nevtralna rdeča z modrim podtonom. Na toplo obarvani koži lahko celo izgleda topla rdeča, medtem ko na hladnih podtonih izgleda hladno rdeča. Ponavadi sovražim rdeče odtenke, vendar bo tale odtenek mogoče celo ostal v moji kolekciji. Lahko se nanaša na ustnice kot ''stain'' v barvi češnje (desno) ali kot polno obarvana šminka (levo).

Honey Stick in Raw Honey is a standard lipgloss that's not sticky. It has a pleasant texture yet I find it a bit annoying when I'm applying it on my lips. The applicator is quite small and gets out a small amount so you'll need to ''dig out'' a couple of times for some opacity. Scent is again- a strong vanilla that makes you want to eat cupcakes. Secretly I'm wishing it would smell like real honey as the name suggests. Raw Honey is a light pearlescent pink with grey undertones. It's actually quite lovely on the lips, especially on people with cool undertones. It's priced at about 11€.

Honey Stick v barvi Raw Honey je nelepljiv lipglos, ki diši zelo močno po vaniliji (na žalost ne diši po medu). Ima dokaj udobno teksturo, vendar me moti aplikator, ki ne zajame dovolj produkta. Pri nanašanju je treba tako paziti na več plasti za višjo prekrivnost. Raw Honey je svetlo roza z zelo diskretnimi lesketajočimi delci. Stane okoli 11€ na Click2Chic.

Nail Polish in Perfection Perfection is truly a perfect mix of coral for my pale fingers. Usually coral shades pull too orange for my taste and it looks kind of ridiculous on fair skin. Has a standard, fairly thin brush that makes application easy. You get full opacity with 2 coats. Longevity was not impressive but just okay.  It retails for around 9,96€.

Lak v barvi Perfection Perfection je mešanica koralne in roza barve. Barva je naravnost čudovita za svetlopolte punce, saj ni preveč oranžna vendar je hkrati še vedno koralna. Mogoče bi ji celo lahko rekla pastelno koralna. Ima dokaj tanek čopič in nisem imela problemov z nanašanjem. Z dvema slojema dobimo popolno prekrivnost. Obstojnosti ne morem ravno komentirati, saj na mojih nohtih laki ne zdrži več kot 2 dni (razen nekaj izjem). Lak stane dobrih 9,96€ na Click2Chic.

All in all I'm impressed. I was determinated on the beginning I would actually hate the entire line and nothing really stood out for me. Packaging wise, I would prefer better En-joystick pencil packaging. Otherwise I do dig the whole rose gold detail. All products are fairly enjoyable but it's the price point that kills half of the fun for the customer. I would highly recommend to try out their En-joysticks, gloss and nail polish can wait. Nad vsemi produkti sem navdušena. Nisem bila prepričana, če mi bo kateri izdelek sploh všeč, vendar sem zadovoljna s kakovostjo. Embalaža na En-joystick produktih bi lahko bila boljša. Vsi produkti so dokaj dobri, vendar je cena tista, ki ubije nekaj zabave. Predvidevam da so višje cene zaradi stroškov izdelave v ZDA (potencialno tudi bolj kakovostni izdelki). Perfect Rosy Nails - Catrice Karl Says Tres Chic

Despite all the fuss around neon nail polishes I still find myself reaching for nude and rose shades.

I don't know what's been wrong with me lately but I guess I'm growing up...I've been reaching for rose, mauve and brownish shades also in lipsticks. Nonetheless I find this particular nail polish really flattering for pale skintones.

Karl Says Tres Chis is a new Spring 2014 addition to ever growing Catrice assortment. 

It's a light warm mauve-pink-rose shade that compliments all skintones. It's quite opaque and a bit thick so you can get away with 1 coat. However I applied 2 coats for extra shine without any top coat. 

Surprisingly enough, I didn't find any dupes in my nail polish collection although it looks pretty similar to Essence English Rose at first sight. 57 Karl Says Tres Chic is a lot lighter and more pinky-mauve.

They retail for 2,60€ in local Mueller.

I actually don't have any major complaints over Catrice nail polishes - I just wish they wouldn't redesign their brushes a lot wider than needed. Unfortunately Catrice is available only in EU countries but I can see them expanding in the (far) future over to UK and USA as her little sister Essence. In the mean time, keep this shade on top of your wishlist.

Catrice New Products Spring 2014: Haul & Swatches

 Catrice and Essence update their assortment every Spring and Fall.

This year's new additions didn't really catch my attention.

I was surprisingly blown away only by nail polishes, especially with the crushed crystals.

The only eyeshadow that caught my attention was 760 No.1 Candydate.

It's a dainty version of Mac Vex without the green hue and with more lightness to it.

It's a perfect shimmery light grey-taupe with pink hue.

I really like it as an all over lid wash however the texture and pigmentation is much more gritty comparing it to older Catrice shadows. Not too impressed by the overall quality but the shade is gorgeous.

Retails for about 2,8€.

Lipstick shades are clearly similar to past assortment (khm ... Kiss Kiss Hibiscus) so I didn't even bother with them.

I only picked up 2 lipliners: Berryson Ford from the already existing line and new shade called Sweet Auberginia.

Berryson Ford is a berry-red while Sweet Auberginia is a straight dark berry shade.

I have no major complaints about the texture but Sweet Auberginia could be a bit more pigmented and soft.

All in all they are a great additions, especially the new berry shade - costs about 2,29€.

Now onto nail polishes!

I picked up 1 ''regular'' nail polish (2,60€) and 3 new Crushed Crystals which dry to a matte-texture finish (3,50€). 

It's actually pretty sneaky to raise only the prices of Crushed Crystals since many of you (including me!) won't/didn't notice the price difference at first. I was actually quite surprised when I saw higher price tag on my bill.

I don't appreciate that Catrice constantly raises their prices.

I also used PLUMdogMillionaire separately since the first swatch doesn't do justice.

  Oyster & Champagne was combined with Essence polish on the tips. 

Crushed Crystals aren't the best for using on the tips since they can apply quite thick and heavy. The longevity overall isn't the best either... but keep in mind that nail polishes usually last on me for 1-2 days max. 

I would say they can be fully opaque with 2-3 coats.

Definite stars are Call Me Princess and Oyster & Champagne.
