Fresh, Everyday Look with new Rimmel makeup: Fresher Skin foundation, Kate Sculpting Palette

Rimmel has been always competitive with their foundations and lipsticks ever since I've entered the world of UK makeup. And that was far before Rimmel even decided branching through Europe so intensely. Rimmel has both - great, firm launches while some leave me cold-hearted and uninspired. However, I still believe they're best in making mascaras, foundations and lipsticks. I'm really happy to see newer launches such as Fresher Skin foundation, Kate Sculpting Palette and The Only 1 Matte lipstick in my makeup drawers - you should definitely at least quickly scroll down to check swatches, colors and quick but naturally glowy makeup look with only Rimmel products.

KIKO Rose Gold Makeup: Rebel Romantic Review

How could any lady resist this glorious rose gold collection by KIKO? Rebel Romantic is far from only affordable but a truly inspiring, high end looking release. Hands down, this is the most sophisticated line of makeup I've seen in a while. From velvety outer packaging toward inner rose gold or edgy cobalt compacts. You can either choose to be a romantic soul or fierce and edgy princess. Rebel Romantic includes a variety of different makeup gems, accessories and tools. Believe it or not, everything is absolutely outstanding.

Perfecting Bronzer (12,90€, online) is the most astonishing piece out of entire Rebel Romantic Collection. A center piece that caught your attention with embossed details and similar concept as Charlotte Tilbury's blushers. Illuminating but matte perfecting powder blends the outer bronzer seamlessly. Velvety smooth texture could easily compete with higher end brands. 01 Light to Medium has a pink toned perfecting powder while darker option has a lavender tinged powder. This particular product is light enough for pale ladies but still pigmented and warm to satisfy medium skintones as well. You can use it mixed or separately for bronzing or setting your foundation. Longevity is also impressive as it doesn't budge or transfer for entire day. The only problem I've come across is that the inner design is too gorgeous to ruin.

Rebel Bouncy Blush (9,90€, online) is a cream to powder blush upon my surprise. On the first touch it feels like a dry mousse like cream product that looks like a genuine textured powder blush. Instead, it's a soft to the touch formula that needs to be blended quickly to achieve dry cream blush effect. It has a satin matte finish which is a rare find among drugstore array. It's indeed, perfect for oily skintypes and lasts entire day. 03 Treasure Rose is a mauve rose neutral pink with a slight berry undertone that would suit most skintones. Also, KIKO staff kindly applauded my choice as it has such a unique texture and concept. Besides amazing long wearing effect, it can also multitask as a matte stain on your lips.

Intensely Lavish Lipstick (6,90€, online) amazes with comfortable wear and satin/matte finish. KIKO claims it to be a ''creamy lipstick with an intense and bright colour'' which is true, but I haven't expected satin/matte like finish upon first application. Texture awfully reminds me of my current favourite lipstick formula - Maybelline Creamy Mattes. Formula is lightweight but highly opaque with one swipe. As you layer it, texture becomes slightly more nourishing and creamy. They are really long lasting and they evenly fade with eating or drinking. I choose the lightest shade out of them all, called 01 Lusty Peony, a flattering true deeper rose. Highly, highly recommend. Also, lipstick tube is perfectly weighted as YSL lipsticks and they close with magnetic cap.

Rebel Romantic Mirror (5,90€, online) as a accessory part of the collection, captures elegance with rose gold packaging. It has double mirrored inside, one of them has 2x magnification. This will be a perfect fit into my upcoming blog photos.

Without further ado, I'm letting you know that I'm absolutely charmed by Rebel Romantic Collection. You need at least one piece as products are all truly astonishing, outside and quality wise. For the first time I'm actually reconsidering ordering another batch of missed products due to my excitement and their outstanding performance. You need to try at least one Intensely Lavish lipstick and a blush or two. Perfecting Bronzer is glorious but not a must have if you can resist the design. All in all, this is one of the best collections I've seen in a while from KIKO Cosmetics. While I'm having a lukewarm relationship with their standard products (ugh, packaging is far from appealing), this collection blew my mind. KIKO also ships worldwide with reasonable shipping prices online. I am not sponsored by KIKO by any means but I sure wish I would be.

KIKO Miami Beach Babe Review

I usually don't like doing limited collections on my blog. However, I sometimes do dedicate a minute or two to special collections that are worth talking about. I was recently visiting another KIKO store and as always, beforehand checked out their new products online. My attention was instantly caught by a bright and summer-inspired LE Miami Beach Babe. After the first scroll, I wasn't too keen on any product but with more detailed read, I got curious about Beach Babe Bronzer, solely because of powdered sugar scent. In the store itself, it can get pretty wild. Products looked even more captivating and unique look of Deco Delight Lipstick made me kneel.

Beach Babe Bronzer (11,90€ for 19,50g, online) was my ultimate pick due to vanilla cotton candy scent. Bronzer has a strong scent that can be detected with each application or opening. Scent itself is similar to Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes and it's the main selling point for me. Not only it smells delicious, the two shades are pretty versatile for fair and darker skintones. I choose the lightest shade, called California Sand and it's a light-medium warm toned bronzer. It's pretty similar to Soap & Glory Solar Powder (review here) and a shade or two darker than The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (review here). It's definitely not overly pigmented and applies like a dream. Texture is finely milled and contains whooping 19,50g of product. Both bronzers are matte and great for warming up your face and body. I actually look like a normal human being in sunlight. If you're nearby KIKO, I warmly suggest you picking it up.

Deco Delight Lipstick (7,90€ for 2,5g, online) offers shiny, wet finish with balmy texture. Rich oils make this product nourishing but semi-sheer pigments give off buildable color. Texture works as a thick lipbalm and doesn't slide or crease. Again, lipstick is also heavenly scented and smells like potent vanilla custard. Polkadot design is innovative and stunning on packaging and lipstick itself. Coloured polkadots on the lipstick are without any special purpose but they might add a hint of different undertone. Super creamy texture makes the lipstick a bit melty and it can easily snap. In particular, I choose 02 Frison Rose, most popular versatile colour choice out of the 6 shades. It's a juicy warm rose pink, suitable for any skintone. As the longevity goes, these tend to last for good 3-4 hours. This has a perfect summer formula which will appeal to the masses.

Miami Beach Babe is definitely an eye catcher with cute design, colorful products and delightfully scented formulas. If you're around KIKO store, definitely sniff their bronzers and try super creamy Deco Delight lipstick formula. Also, fun eyeliners, cute nail kits and adorable blushes won't skip your eye. I'm absolutely in love with my new bronzer and easy to wear lipstick so you clearly know the final thoughts. KIKO LE Collections tend to stay for a few months in their store so there's plenty of time to snatch these goodies. Usually, they also make a sale after the season. Miami Beach Babe is available from June 2015. You can order KIKO online with reasonable shipping prices.

Soap&Glory Solar Powder

I might start to annoy you, but my love for Soap&Glory is true. Next up on my blog list is Solar Powder, a mix&match multishade bronzer as brand itself calls it. Testing a bronzer is quite a task in my book. Since I'm usually relying on my trusty blushes, I'm just not intrigued by bronzers. On top of all, my fair skin tone makes entire bronzer experience even more difficult. I can look muddy or too brown in my face in no time. Now let us see if Solar Powder makes the cut.

What makes me intrigued by Solar Powder is the ability to mix up your own bronzer shade. In my case, I opt for the lightest shade possible. With this bronzer, you can adjust intensity even by seasons. You might know the drill when your lightest bronzer doesn't preform as beautifully in Summer. Not that I get tanned or anything, but I would imagine it being a perfect gimmicky thing for most girls. Darker skin tones could use the lighter shade as a golden highlighter too. Texture is superb as I expect from Soap & Glory. Almost no fall-out, highly pigmented and easy to use. Cardboard packaging is usually a no-no, but seems sturdy enough to handle a travel or two.

The greatest glow on earth? Perhaps, if we don't take it too literally. Bronzer has an duochrome overspray that gets used up after first application. After that, darker side is totally matte, while lighter side offer a tiny glimpse of shimmer. When everything is mixed together, you get a balanced amount of both worlds - matte enough for all over application and shimmery enough to use as a blush. It's definitely not too shimmery, so you can use it as a contour powder if that's your thing. If we look at the color, it's pretty straight forward warm shade but still workable for lighter skin tones.

I would actually recommend this bronzer to all of you, who tan really easily in the Summer. This way you'll save up some money with this 2-in-1 mixing bronzer. In case of pale complexions, you can find better, lighter bronzers with less warm tones. It's not my first bronzer pick, however strongly standing third in the row.
You get generous 9g for about 14€ on Soap&Glory website or Ebay (here).

My bronzer collection + bronzer shades for fair skin

I was always BRONZER-terrified since I'm really fair.
But after trying out loads of bronzers despite my fear I narrowed them on 5 that work for me.
Although I do like each one of them I still don't use bronzers very often.
I prefer blushes and since I have a huge blush variety, bronzers seems to be the least interesting.

For an all over glow and bronzed look I usually use Wet'n'wild Everything under the sun and Vivo baked bronzer shade 3
They are both really shimmery and the Vivo one show up only on NC10-20 skintone.
Since Vivo is so light I can also use it as a highlight when I'm tanning.
They don't make me orange and I get loads of compliments when I wear any of them.
I apply them with powder or stippling brush.

For contouring I always reach for NYC Sunny bronzer and NYX Taupe blush.
They are enough light for my pale skintone and don't look orange at all.
Seems like they're perfect match for me, using NYC in the summer and NYX in the winter.
NYX Taupe is slightly more ashy and cooler than the typical warm bronzer.
However, you have to be careful and light handed with the application.
I use MAC 109 brush for both of them.

The newest addition is the Lush Charisma Skin tint which I'm already in love with.
It's a lovely contouring liquid-gel like bronzer with tiny shimmers which aren't visible on the skin.
It blends out really nicely and I can see it being suited for almost any skintone.
My only problem is the packaging which can get quite dirty.
Seems to be a nice cheaper alternative to the Soleil tan de Chanel ?!
I like it using under or over my liquid foundation with Real techniques Expert face or Sephora Mineral powder brush.

SWATCHES
from L to R: Lush Charisma blended, Lush Charisma heavy swatch, NYC Sunny, NYX Taupe, Wet'n'wild Everything under the sun, Vivo bronzer 3

All in all I would highly suggest to take a look at Lush Charisma Skin tint since it's a really innovative bronzer. Snow whites should keep an eye on the NYX Taupe blush.
Which one is your favorite?
