Fresh, Everyday Look with new Rimmel makeup: Fresher Skin foundation, Kate Sculpting Palette

Rimmel has been always competitive with their foundations and lipsticks ever since I've entered the world of UK makeup. And that was far before Rimmel even decided branching through Europe so intensely. Rimmel has both - great, firm launches while some leave me cold-hearted and uninspired. However, I still believe they're best in making mascaras, foundations and lipsticks. I'm really happy to see newer launches such as Fresher Skin foundation, Kate Sculpting Palette and The Only 1 Matte lipstick in my makeup drawers - you should definitely at least quickly scroll down to check swatches, colors and quick but naturally glowy makeup look with only Rimmel products.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints - Rich Russet

It's hard to find creaseless cream shadows for oily eyelids.
Trying out different cream shadows I got totally creaseless experience with only Becca, Illamasqua, Buxom and Rimmel.
Maybelline, Catrice, Benefit, Chanel CREAM eyeshadows don't crease as much but after 4 hours of wear I start noticing creases on my eyelids.
Rimmel's new Scandaleyes Shadow Paints are truly a great cream product.
Out of 5 shades I had to pick the most neutral one.

Rich Russet is a taupe-bronze with highly metallic finish.
It's actually a perfect taupe brown even for cooler skintones.
The color reminds me on Maybelline Color Tattoo On and on bronze.
The bottle itself it's tacky looking but application is easy due to the wand.

Texture is similar to Becca Eye tints - medium thick liquid with tacky feeling.
You have to be super fast with application since it starts drying in 8 seconds.
I tap the eyeshadow with my finger and quickly blend with Mac 217 brush.
You can easily build the color intensity if you let every single layer to dry.
You actually need only 1-2 layer for fully opaque look.
Applied and blended Shadow Paint should wear without creases and up to 10 hours.

I left Rich Russet on my eyelids for the entire day - no creasing at all.
I'm highly overwhelmed with these particular cream shadows since I have oily and hooded eyelids.
On the picture below you can clearly see Rich Russet all over the lid
You can easily blend it out if you're quick enough.
Application can get a bit patchy if you're not careful enough with layering.

I would definitely recommend you to check out Rimmel Scandaleyes range.
Since Rimmel is not sold in Slovenia I usually get Rimmel from FeelUnique.
You can get Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints for about 5,6€ on FeelUnique.

PROS: crease less, metallic finish, gorgeous color, affordable, pigmented
CONS: fast drying, messy applicator, entire color selection
RATING: A-

Swap Love Package from Claudia (UK)

If you follow me on Twitter you might noticed I love to interact with Claudia.
She's a fellow Blogger/Youtuber and pretty darn good at it!
We actually ''met'' through constant reading of our blogs and commenting :)
I also won a Giveaway from her in our early start-  Still cherish cute box and a card.
Claudia was nice enough to offer me some help finding Rimmel Apocalips and that started our small swap.
I was super excited to pick out things for her since she's really an amazing girl.
Our ''taste'' in make-up is quite similar so that made it extra fun!

Everything came packed in pastel pink packaging with cute card notes.
Special treats just made my day- Cadbury brings out memories since I was in their factory 6 years ago.
Me and my dad already ate jelly tots (her favourite) so they didn't make it through first hour.

I got Rimmel Apocalips in Luna and Stellar- both amazing shades.
You can see Stellar swatched on Claudia HERE.
I also used up my favorite nude 17 Beehive lippie and got another one in new amazing packaging!
Who wouldn't like a mirror with the lipstick?

Last was the Topshop cream blusher in Morning Dew.
The packaging is way too cute!
Claudia picked out perfect color for me - bright/neon warm toned pink.

I'm super grateful for meeting Claudia way back in the start!
It's a real excitement to meet new people through my favourite hobby.
You can check out her blog HERE.

My summer picks: Lipsticks

I love to wear lipsticks all year around and summer is no exception.

My picks:
-  NYX Round lipstick: Femme
- NYX Round lipstick: Rea
- MAC lipstick: Cut a caper (or NYX Orange soda)
- Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick: Airy Fairy
- Isadora Jelly kiss: Coral Punch
- Lush Lip tint: Snow fairy

All of them are chosen for different looks I'm wearing through the summer. The most reached for is absolutely Isadora-Coral punch, which I mention constantly on my blog. Gives a nice kick to the look and is perfect for those who are afraid of opaque bold bright lipsticks. The color talks for itself but the formula is outstanding (feels more like a lipbalm and a water based gloss). I can already imagine myself with a cocktail on the beach and having this one on my lips.

NYX- Rea is mostly used when I feel like doing a nude-bronzed look without any funky color. The lipstick itself is a bit too dark for my pale complexion but I like the effect of ''neutral but bold''. Can be used with any clothes and compliments my freckles. Can be suitable for darker skin tones as a nude lipstick.

I was quite surprised by the smoothness of NYX lipsticks. They go on easily and are a bit scary with their pigmentation, especially NYX- Femme. It's known as a dupe for 2 MAC lipsticks from Venomous villans and Surf baby collection (Hibiscus lipstick). I do like the Nyx formula but it's a bit too slippery for me. I don't know..I find it a bit hard to work with their bold colors like this one and they wear off easily. Although, the color is just too pretty to resist having this on my lips with my red pair of slippers.

Unfortunately I have to mention my limited edition MAC-Cut a caper (similar to MAC Ravishing). It's my perfect peachy shade and I will cry when it will be gone.

Rimmel- Airy fairy smells good! I want to eat it all up. Smells like vanilla, toffee and tropical fruits at the same time. It's a perfect mauve pink with golden sparkles so it's really wearable through the day. It kind of reminds me of MAC Angel but Airy fairy is a bit more purple-toned and has golden sparkles.

Lush Lip tint- Snow fairy is also not available anymore but we can expect it in December to come out once more. I already made a review on this one. Basically it smells like candy, it's easy to apply and gives a hint of fresh pink color.

L to R: Rea, Femme, Cut a caper, Airy Fairy, Coral punch, Snow fairy

the same order as above

And what's your fav one for the summer? Any recommendations?
