Max Factor Creme Puff Blush & Colour Intensifying Balms

Max Factor recently experienced a flaming route of success with their newly launched products. Creme Puff Blushes are still massively compared to highly expensive Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes due to similar texture, finish and colours. Along with blushes, Max Factor also released Summer appropriate Colour Intensifying Balms with bubblegum scent and tender texture. Both novelties are refreshing addition to the drugstore shelves.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes (12,99€ for 1,5g, drugstores) are baked blushes that come in several universally flattering shades. They all look like cute, tiny buttons or tokens with gold detail and marbled velvet-like product inside. They are indeed, buildable yet sheer which is the main selling point in the first place. You can easily apply a sheer layer for natural glow or add a bonus layer for dollish look. There are 6 neutral colours, ranging from mauves up to coral pinks. Unfortunately, some European countries received only 4 shades in their regular line, including Slovenia. Baked texture makes these tiny tokens ultra smooth with a hint of sheen. The most subtle sheen will provide a soft glow without using any additional highlighter. As they might look too frosty in the pan, they definitely transfer a bit more lightly on the skin. I was gifted Alluring Rose, a lovely neutral bronze-reddish shade with silver veining. Shade awfully reminds me of MAC Stereo Rose, a cult classic highlighting blush shade. Cheeks look flushed yet bronzed. You look defined yet fresh. Texture is absolutely luscious and I have no problems with fading whatsoever. From my point of view, I totally recommend giving them a swatch at your local drugstore.

Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm (8,49€ for 2,3g, drugstores) are tender lip balms with buildable pigmentation. Again, similar concept as with Creme Puff Blush. They are not meant to deliver high color payoff, instead, they give off a more natural look with the ability to personally choose colour intensity. They are pleasant to wear, don't irritate, easy to apply and smell like fruity bubblegum. Scent however, fades with opening. They also contain nourishing shea, coconut and mango butter. With slim tube, you're able to apply them with ease, without any mirror. I like them but I'm not totally in love. Texture itself is creamy enough to layer but fades within 2-3 hours. My shades are Sumptuous Candy, bright and light pink, and Charming Coral, a flattering peach-pink (usually only seen in Korean makeup). I usually stay away from corals due to my light skin tone but Charming Coral is suitable even for palest skintones. And since they're buildable yet they have a creamy feel, they can be easily combined together. I used both on my lower picture for gradient lips - bright pink in the middle and peachy pink as the outside colour. Truly refreshing and youthful shades.

If I recap everything, I love my new Max Factor Creme Puff Blush. I highly recommend them if you're struggling with overly pigmented blushes. All shades are universally flattering and buildable. Alluring Rose is really similar to MAC Stereo Rose, which would be fun to compare. As for Colour Intensifying Balms, I like the youthful glow, fruity scent and pigmentation they give but they're nothing spectacular. However, texture is quite cushiony and pleasant to wear. If you're still searching for your perfect peach color, Charming Coral is the answer. You can find Max Factor all over Europe in most drugstores. Creme Puff Blushes retail for about 12,99€ while Intensifying Lip Balms cost around 8,49€ in Slovenian DM and Muller. For international readers, you can order Max Factor through international Boots site.

    1. O hvala, frizuro vedno prepustim naključju pri slikanju. Doma se je vedno najboljše barvati, dobiš kar želiš. Pri rdečilih pa mogoče počakaj na kakšen popust, sem prepričana da bodo 1x v akciji :)
